The hand-forged turk iron pans are open-die hot-forged out of one piece, i. e. the steel is forged at red heat. This is recognisable by the seamless handle, which is not welded or rivetted, and by the typical surface structure originating from the forging process.
High-quality hand-forged turk iron pans cannot be entirely planar and are rather appropriate for gas stoves and induction cookers.
